Organizational Culture
Participants will engage in a relevant discussion of how leaders help to set the tone for the way employees, volunteers, and the community it serves works together and perceives each other’s role. It will discuss the importance of the mission and how it’s interwoven throughout the company’s core values. The session will provide strategies on effective ways for leaders to build a more positive work/serve environment that allows for critical thinking, positive engagement, and a group mindset that collectively works to fulfill the organization’s mission
Leadership and Staff Roles
This session will teach the basics of roles and responsibilities for the Board, senior leadership, management and staff. The session will highlight both the separation of roles and collaboration needed to obtain an appropriate mix of leadership and management. Participants will learn the importance of individuals understanding and operating in each of their functions for the greater good of the organization.
Conflict Management
Come to learn the importance of conflict in an organization, and how it can enhance the communication skills of leaders and their team. Participants will learn the ways in which to respond to conflict and how to create healthy opportunities for conversation amongst its team. This includes learning how to manage generational diversity and potential conflicts that could arise regarding those differences.
Succession Planning
This class will provide strategies on effective leadership transitions, that are both planned and sudden departures. Discussions will be had to show the opportunities and challenges in planning for succession, and what skills are needed for potential new leadership. Strategies will also be discussed on how to support your team and those served with the potential change in leadership.
